UK motorists 'get friendly with their car'
More than one in four motorists in the UK have admitted that they have treated their cars more like a friend than an object, according to new research from What Car? magazine.
The publication revealed that a third of road users have given their car a name.
Drivers in Northern Ireland are most likely to name their ride, with 43 per cent doing so - emphasising the value of the object and possibly the sense in getting good insurance.
Meanwhile, 60 per cent have owned up to talking to their cars.
Anyone who feels strongly attached to their motor might like to consider getting the best car insurance available - with online price comparisons being an efficient way of getting a good deal.
In related money news, Greater Manchester police recently revealed that number plates were the items most likely to be stolen from a vehicle.
