BMW's new 116d announced
The new BMW 116d has been announced, it is BMW's greenest car with it's fantastic fuel efficiency it is even less polluting than BMW's World Green Car of the Year, the BMW 118d.
The BMW 116d is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine producing 116hp and is capable of 0 to 62mph in 10.2 seconds. The 116d is available in both three and five door styling, three door costing around £17,600 and five door version costing around £18,130 OTR. Both models are going to be on sale commencing in March.
The 116d has CO2 emissions figure of 118g/km, it carries a cost of just £35 a year to tax falling in to tax band B and will do a top speed of 125mph. Its 13 per cent Benefit-in-Kind rating ensures it would be ideal for the business user.
An upgrade over the entry-level ES means that 3 and 5 door versions of the BMW 116i, 116d and 118d are available with the new Sport trim level, which includes this features 17-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors and washerjets, and a sporty interior.
Three- and five-door versions of the BMW 116i, 116d and 118d are now available with a new Sport trim level: 17-inch alloy wheels, front foglights, heated exterior mirrors and windscreen washer jets, a Sport multi-function leather steering wheel and Sport seats.
