Smart test electric two seater
Aston University and Amey a support service for the highway, railway and property sectors, have been chosen to spearhead the trial of Smart ed vehicles in the Midlands.
Smart are getting serious about the performance of it's fully electronic two seater and have delivered these vehicles to both Aston University and Amey. Smart want to see exactly how these vehicles adapt to everyday use, as these vehicles are due for general release in 2010 consequently Smart are currently working with 60 business affliliates and green suppliers in order to thoughoughly assess it's performance.

The cars will be used to help the two businesses mentioned above reduce carbon emissions and improve their fleet efficiency. The smart ed market trial is an important part of Smart's commitment towards developing sustainable transport solutions across the Mercedes-Benz business. Smart is a pioneer in the world of environmentally-friendly and economical driving.
The smart ed can achieve 300 mpg and is chargeable through the use of a three-pin socket.
